Our Privacy Principles
When you supply us with your postal or e-mail address or telephone number from visiting our website(s), you may receive periodic mailings or telephone contact from us with information on new products, services, or upcoming events. If you do not wish to receive such mailings or contact, please call us toll-free at (866) 521-0302 or write to us at the address shown. Even if you make this choice, we may still send you e-mail to deliver your statements, which may include marketing materials, or give you account-related notices or other information.
We preserve your e-mail address, our response and the original content of your e-mail for a period of time so we can efficiently handle any follow-up questions you may have. We also do this for legal, regulatory and account servicing requirements. Regular Internet e-mail is not a secure form of communication. Any information sent via e-mail should be of a non-sensitive and non-confidential nature. Submitting information via one of our line contact forms is secure as we employ encryption.

Hawaii Schools FCU does not employ cookies to track usage or to allow access to its sites. Our web servers automatically collect information that is aggregated without any personally identifiable data. The web logs do not collect e-mail addresses nor do we combine any cookie information to determine who you are. From our web logs we collect date and time of access, IP address, and the image/pages that were viewed. We use this information to analyze usage trends and learn how to better organize our website(s). We May Refer You to ‘Links’ or ‘Hyperlink’ You to Another Website
Hawaii Schools FCU is not responsible for the content of third party sites hyperlinked from this page, nor does it guarantee the products or services offered on third party sites. You should review the privacy statement of a website before you provide personal or confidential information.
Protect Yourself from Fraudulent Web Sites
Personal information shared over the Internet may be used to commit fraud. One common method is for thieves to create a web site using a name that is similar to that of a reputable business. The intent is to lure you into clicking onto the copycat web site and giving your personal information, including your account number and password. Always check that you have typed the correct web site address before entering personal information onto a site.
Your use of Hawaii Schools Federal Credit Union’s websites is governed by Hawaii state and applicable federal law.
The credit union recognizes that protecting the identity and privacy of children online is important and that responsibility rests with both the credit union and with parents.
Hawaii Schools Federal Credit Union does not knowingly solicit or collect data from children as individuals or as a unique group explicitly, and we do not knowingly market our products exclusively to children as a separate group from the adults for whom the majority of our products and services are intended.
In certain instances, children may be eligible for giveaways or promotions available from the credit union. In these cases, information may be requested of a child to constitute eligibility, but will be limited to name and birth year – not a full birth date. Submissions for those giveaways or promotions will constitute automatic entry and is exempt from the Child Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 rules which require parental consent before information is accepted for consideration by the credit union. Parents will, however, be allowed to inquire about a child’s suspected submission of this limited data and may request that such data be removed from consideration by the credit union.
If a parent or guardian suspects that his or her child has provided personally-identifiable information to Hawaii Schools FCU, please contact us so that we can allow you the opportunity to review and/or delete the information. Please contact our Business Development department by calling toll-free (866) 521-0302 or by sending e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
